There are two golf courses in close proximity to Ka’anapali. They are both different in their difficulty. The Royal Ka’anapali was originally designed by the late Robert Trent Jones Sr. He created two golf courses in Hawaii and this is one of them. It has since been redesigned by the very prolific course designer and adapter, Robin Nelson. It is the more difficult of the two courses near Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort.
Also of interest is the Ka’anapali Kai. This golf course was created in 1967 and revamped by Robin Nelson in 2005. It is the gentler of the two courses in Ka’anapali. Depending upon your skill level, you can opt for one of these two or hit the other 12 that are found in West Maui.
