The local Hewlett Day Care obviously caters to parents looking for a comfortable and rewarding place to take care of their children during the week. Day care may be about protection and quality care keeping, but it should also teach children life principles. For many, Hewlett Day Care is the first place many children learn how to respond to a problem, ask for an answer, and cooperate with others. It is a delicate time, and it deserves focused attention. Below are three main principles applied in daycare.

• Cooperation: Children will practice a lot of motor skills at the daycare. That could include tracing the lines, completing puzzles, and even walking and balancing. All of these tasks can occur in a cooperative environment where the “students” are helping each other. It is an environment where every child feels they can be themselves, and those struggling will be helped with empathy and respect.

• Communication: Great communication is one of the main pillars of Hewlett Day Care. Are the children communicating their needs? Are they afraid of judgment? Can they properly convey a certain intangible thought? All of this contributes to the quality of their communication. Great communication adds to a great child. They can stick up for what they believe in, address concerns, and have wonderful thoughts about all new things in an expressive way.

• Asking: Children often have a hard time politely asking for things. Other children have the problem of not asking for anything. They may be too shy and reserved to speak out. The teachers work with all types, including the two above. Asking is a rather important skill to learn. Children learn at the daycare that asking nicely is far more effective. It may be insincere, at least in the beginning, but rudeness is not responded to with what the child is asking for.

Other children, who are shy and quiet, may slowly be pressed into a position where they don’t have something they need. The teachers will delicately and calmly encourage the student to ask. There is always more to gain with Hewlett Day Care that will improve and refine the personality of young children with limitless potential.
