Many student apartments near WWU offer reserved parking as well as free parking. If you’re like most people, you probably jump at the thought of free parking. You’re already paying for housing and tuition, so why add another fee to the list? However, paying for reserved parking has its advantages.

When you stick with free parking, you have no idea where you’ll be able to park every day. Some days, you’ll be able to park in a good spot. Parking is especially challenging at the beginning of the semester–and when you’ve got class starting in five minutes, you don’t have time to search for your vehicle.
Reserved parking might cost more money, but it also makes your life a lot easier. You’ll know exactly where you parked each day and how long it’ll take you to walk to your vehicle. If you get a good spot, you might be able to keep your car out of the harsh weather conditions. You also won’t have to worry about someone taking your favorite spot or getting mad at you because they think that you took their spot.
