While living in a dorm when you’re in college can be a convenient option, you might not have the same freedoms that you would have if you were in an apartment. Here are a few perks to consider about renting a student apartment when you’re deciding on your living situation.

Freedom

When you live in one of the student apartments in Tallahassee, you’ll have quite a bit more freedom to do what you want compared to living in a dorm. There are usually rules that you’ll have to abide by from the complex, but they usually aren’t as detailed or as strict as what you would find if you were in a dorm. As long as you don’t do anything to get in trouble or do anything that’s illegal, then you can usually do what you want.

Price

An apartment tends to be less expensive than a dorm. Keep in mind that any financial aid that you receive can usually be spent on your dorm fees. If you choose to live in one of the student apartments in Tallahassee, then you can still use the money from your financial aid for your rent and other necessities. However, you’re going to need to wait for any refund that you receive to go to your bank account before you can do this as an option.

Roommates

Another benefit of living in an apartment is that you’ll be able to choose your roommates. When you live in a dorm, you’ll usually be matched with someone, and it’s usually someone you don’t know. This could be uncomfortable until you live with the person for a few weeks and get to know them a bit better.
