Although many people enjoy seeing wild animals on the safari, or in the open woods, most people would rather not have wild animals inside of their homes. Unfortunately, many homes around the country are imposed upon by these uninvited guests. Instead of panicking and killing these animals consider the other options you have available.

Humane Wildlife Control

No matter what kind of animal that has somehow set up shop in your attic, or that has made the crawl space their new home, there’s always a humane way of handling the situation. For some homeowners, the go-to option is to kill the animal. Countless innocent animals are poisoned and killed by homeowners that want them gone. There are plenty of easy and simple ways to permanently remove these critters from your home and property.

Inhumane And Humane Methods To Avoid

Two of the most inhumane methods to use for Wildlife Control are glue traps and poison. Glue traps are often used for small critters such as mice and rats. The idea is to lure the critters with food so that they get trapped in the glue. Unfortunately, the animals who become trapped eventually starve to death, which a number of animal activists consider to be torturous.

Poison is popular because it easily attracts critters and kills them much quicker than a glue trap would. However, this could be dangerous do to the possibility that unintended targets (i.e. dogs, cats, birds, etc.) could eat the poison and die as well.

Many homeowners try the catch and relocate method, because they feel that it’s the most humane way to go. Although the animal is relocated it doesn’t mean the problem is solved. First of all, most animals often find their way back eventually. Second of all, you could be putting certain animals in danger. Relocated animals often find themselves in strange territories without proper food, water, or shelter. You may even be putting them in danger of being attacked by surrounding predators.

Professionals at Triple AAA American Exterminators may have a more humane solution. Instead of killing the animal try figuring out what’s drawing the animal to your home. Often times after removing debris, standing water, or food that’s been left out, wild animals will simply find another place to live on their own.
