Currently iForeman technology, available through Avery Weigh-Tronix, is available for the Apple system or iOS platform. This means you can download an app through the Apple store that can be used on your iPhone or even on your iPad. Of course, it can also work on any other smartphone, tablet or computer using the iOS platform.
Having the ability to be away from the equipment with the iForeman systems can help to boost efficiency. You don’t need to sit in the cab, or where a traditional scale display module is located, instead you can do what you need to without being tethered.
The Basics
What iForeman provides is the ability for anyone with the app and the access information to access remotely information provided on the Avery Weigh-Tronix farm scale. This is typically a grain cart, and the information is accessible within about 400 feet of the device.
With the system, it is also possible to set the display rounding feature. This allows you to determine if you want to round the load weight to nearest 10, 20 or more pounds, giving you the precision you need.
During either loading or unloading of grain carts, the iForeman app and system will be responsive. This will provide you with up to the second information, rounded as you set, to provide you with the information you need.
Simple Operation
As with most types of technology today, the iForeman is a plug and play option. You will need to have the remote mode set on the weight monitoring device, and then also have the app downloaded. The system will automatically pair the two devices, allowing you to have the information you need at your fingertips.
In some situations, individuals may experience minor problems in pairing the two devices. This can be easily corrected in most cases with a couple of quick setting adjustments on your iPhone or iPad. The biggest issues if often the fact that the Bluetooth is not set to on with the iPhone. Also, the remote mode on the iForeman has to be set to OFF in the app settings.
